Policies, Terms & conditions

DEPOSIT POLICY

  • Your reservation will only be guaranteed after the deposit amount requested is received.

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking within 14 days from making your reservation.

  • Kindly email proof of payment to: info@malealealodge.com

  • Should you want to pay by Credit Card, please request for a secure Payfast link to be sent to you. The balance may be paid at the Lodge, either by Cash or Credit Card. We accept Visa, Master & Debit Cards. (Regret no Diners Club or American Express). All bank transfers must reflect into our bank account before your arrival or departure at the Lodge.

  • Malealea Lodge reserves the right to release bookings that are non-guaranteed.

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • All cancellations must be made in writing.

  • A no-show fee of 100% will be charged if guests fail to arrive at the Lodge on the stated date or if cancellations are done within 24 hours of arrival.

  • Cancellation received 30 - 15 days prior to arrival - forfeit 10% of deposit

  • Cancellation received 14 - 8 days prior to arrival - forfeit 30% of deposit

  • Cancellation received 7 - 0 days prior to arrival - forfeit 100% of non-refundable cancellation fee will be charges

CHILD POLICY

  • Children aged between 7 - 17 years are charged half price on accommodation only. Children aged below 6 years stay free of charge.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Please notify the Lodge of any changes to your reservation details, late arrivals or cancellations.

  • Check in time is from 14h00 to 18h00; check out time is by 12h00.

  • Dinner on night of arrival: Phone or email to pre-book dinner on the night of arrival - all other meals and activities can be booked when you're at the lodge.

  • Activities, we do require Indemnity Forms to be filled once at the Lodge. Should you have Medical Insurance, please supply us with your Medical Insurance No. in case of any emergency. We strongly recommend that you take out Travel & Medical Insurance should you wish to partake in any of the adventure activities on offer. It is Lodge Policy that with all horse riding & mountain biking activities, riding helmets must be worn.

  • Malealea Lodge is running on Solar Energy

No electric hairdryers, flat irons, kettles, toasters, heaters, irons and other heating appliances are allowed to be used.

Power will be switched on at 7am, unless it is overcast.

Power will be switched off at 10pm.

Please switch off all lights when not in use.Some outside lights cannot be switched off.

Try to charge your devices during the day as much as possible


  • The facilities available at the Lodge are strictly reserved for the use of residents.


  • Music: No music from cars and radios is allowed to be played on the property. Musical instruments are allowed to be played until 10pm. We have the right to ask musicians to stop if other guests are being disturbed.


Neither Malealea Lodge (Proprietor: Malealea Trading (Pty) Ltd.) nor any or all of the Community, villages or other persons acting for, through or on behalf of the above, shall be responsible for any death, injury or illness sustained or suffered by a person, or for any loss or damage to any property occurring within or arising from a visit to Malealea Lodge or participation in all activities or surroundings however caused, & whether allegedly due to the negligence or otherwise of the members, employees, agents or helpers of Malealea Lodge or arising from the use of any of the facilities supplied or from any alleged defect in any equipment, services or conveyance supplied or made available from any liquid or foodstuff supplied, or arising in any other manner and from any other cause whatsoever.


Terms & Conditions as well as our Cancellation Policy are deemed as being accepted on receipt of deposit.
